Welcome to Buck Nekkid BBQ & Saloon
Step in and step back in time to an old west experience which features cowboy cooking, great food, a saloon and an old fashioned fun environment. We’re glad you’ve chosen to dine and/or share your time with us and we hope your experience will leave you wanting to come back and enjoy the Buck Nekkid experience on a regular basis. The term “Nekkid” signifies healthy flavorful meats with no frying, breading, or preservatives with sauce optional. In fact, it’s so unique we’ve trademarked it. It is derived from the cowboy techniques of the grandfather of several of our founders, the late George Kirchman, from Junction, TX who had his own blend of spices for his dry rubbed barbeque meats at his South Texas store. Unlike most barbeque purveyors, hardwood logs are burned down to clean red hot coals in a nearby fire box and then shoveled under the meat into specially designed cooking pits which mimic the techniques used on cattle drives over one hundred years ago. The meats are dry rubbed down, pre-conditioned and slow cooked for 12-24 hours. The hot coals sear the meat to lock in its true flavor, imparting tenderness and adding intense flavor to the meats. By burning the wood down to red hot coals, most of the impurities from the wood smoke are eliminated, including the smoke rings which sometimes impart a bitter taste to the meat, thus requiring a heavy dose of BBQ sauce for flavor. So, our “Cowboy Buck Nekkid Cooking” is different and proudly combines Arkansas based George’s and Tyson meats with George Kirchman’s (Buck Nekkid) original recipes and techniques for a one of a kind mouthwatering experience. With family and friends at the helm, the “Buck Nekkid” old west legacy lives on here at Buck Nekkid BBQ & Saloon. We hope you enjoy your “Buck Nekkid” experience and we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve you. One last thing, please remember; Clothing Required, Sauce Optional. Macy L. Brooks |
